CS Quota Information
What is my Quota?
Your quota is the default amount of space you have access to using your CS account. It applies to both your junkfood home directory and your personal webspace (i.e. cs.umd.edu/~username). The default amount is 1.5 Gigabytes.
What if I need more space?
Send mail to helpdesk@cs.umd.edu. If you have a legitimate (education-related) reason to have your quota increased, we should be able to accomodate you.
How Can I check my Quota?
On junkfood and many other workstations there is a command called csquota located in /usr/local/bin/csquota
. You can run this command to see how much space you’ve used and your current quota.
